Outline
The Advanced IV Training Arm-Left is designed for intravenous puncture and infusion training. It simulates a real Asian adult left arm with true-to-life appearance and texture. Trainees can experience actual IV operations and venipuncture as they would with a real patient.
Skills Gained
· Identify puncture locations through palpation of the veins
· Venipuncture and IV infusion
· Correctly use tourniquet
Features
· Realism: Realism of appearance necessary to provide realistic practice for trainees.
· Key Features:
1) It can be used to perform puncture and infusion training of the dorsal venous network of hand, cephalic vein in the elbow, median cubital vein and basilic vein.
2) Four puncturable vessels within the dorsal venous network of hand and three puncturable vessels at the elbow.
3) The cephalic vein on the lateral side of forearm can be used for intravenous indwelling needle and infusion; deltoid muscle is suitable for intramuscular injection.
4) When performing vein puncture on the back of hand, fingers can be bent to tighten the skin; when performing vein puncture in the elbow, the arm can be rotated to find correct puncture position.
5) The disinfection process can be simulated before puncture operation, and the traces left behind can be easily removed.
6) Blood vessels can be seen and can be located by palpation.
7) ★ It produces a realistic backflow of blood in the syringe after correctly placed the tourniquet and punctured. If the tourniquet is not ligated or ligated in an incorrect position, backflow of blood cannot be seen.
8) ★ After the successful puncture, loosen the tourniquet and continuous intravenous infusion can be simulated with adjustable 0-100 drops/min. If the tourniquet is not released, the infusion cannot be performed.
9) The syringe needle can be well fixed on the sites.
10) The blood vessels can be punctured at least 30 times per square centimeter.
11) During the whole operation, no external blood bag, water bag or other auxiliaries are necessary, easy to be carried.
12) ★ A continuous flow (at least 200ml) of fluid and the trainee can complete the whole training by himself without being interfered by another person whom used to help to drain the external fluid bag.
13) ★4 replaceable punctures modules (hand, lateral antebrachial, elbow, and deltoid) for easy maintenance.
14) The vessels on the back of the hand includes thin and thickened one, offering two choices for puncture. The thin vessel can support a smaller puncture angle to ensure that blood return happens within 15-30 angle of needle insertion during puncture.
